Early this morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., we were informed of an incident involving third-party individuals. These individuals engaged in a personal dispute on the premises of the facility and it resulted in two people being shot. At this time there is no update on the condition of the victims. We are deeply disappointed and saddened that something like this would happen at our facility and want to underscore that there is absolutely no place for this type of lawlessness and criminal behavior.

We are grateful to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office for their swift response and extend our deepest concerns to all who were involved in this incident.

It appears this was an isolated incident that followed a personal dispute. The individuals involved are not employees of the Murieta Equestrian Center or the Sacramento International Horse Show. The safety and security of our exhibitors, spectators, and staff is our absolute priority and we have increased our security for this event.
