HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — From hunters to jumpers to equitation, it was a great week in the sunshine for competitors at the Huntington Beach Summer Classic (August 10-14) at Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, presented by West Palms Events.

A highlight of the event was the FreeRein Foundation Grand Prix, won by past Michael Nyuis Grant winner Amanda Gomez and her off-track thoroughbred, All Star. She bested a six-horse jump-off with a double clear and a speedy time of 38.63.

Hunter derby competition was strong from 2′ to USHJA National level, with Wonderful piloted by Lindsay Ransom bringing home the blue for owner Marilyn Miller in the $2,500 USHJA National Derby.

We head back to Huntington Beach for the Halloween Spooktacular (October 28-30) and the Sacramento International Horse Show returns for the Welcome Week (September 28-October 2) and CSIW-4* World Cup Week (October 5-9). Our West Palms Events team looks forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
