Sacramento Spring Classic Week 1 marked the start to the 2026 Northern Series with $600,000 of prize money on the line, split between 8 divisions.

PRESLEY ORZEN AND JACOBEA TAKE HOME THEIR FIRST GRAND PRIX WIN
Presley Orzen is on a winning streak! With a win in the Grand Prix and the 1.30m Classic, she now sits atop the leaderboard for two divisions in the Northern Series. Congratulations to Presley, her spectacular mount and groom, Ruben Candido, for a job well done!
Carol Wright aboard Idylle De Maugre put in a beautiful round to finish second and Adrienne Smyrl & Plato Van De Haarter Hoeve finished third.
CHAMPION SHAVINGS GRAND PRIX CELEBRATION
It was a fun Saturday evening! Grand Prix spectators enjoyed wine tasting from Avio and Vino Neceto, and hand-tossed pizza from Syndesi EQ.

NORTHERN SERIES
Congratulations to Nichole Gourley riding Mireya to the win, with the only clear round in the class. Nichole and Mireya now also sit at the top of the leaderboard for the Northern Series in the 1.20m division.
Rounding up the top three were Nicole Roworth & Lumiere De Lune FFN in second and Chloe Foor & Opps I Did It Again in third.

Leslie Thomas and Kastaway put in a gorgeous round to sit at the top of a large class of competitors. This is the first class in the Northern Series National Open Hunter Division and Leslie holds the #1 spot. Congratulations to Leslie, Kastaway and groom, Gilberto Luna.
Nancy Free & Mountbatten placed second and Grace Naclerio & First Look finished in third.
